Projekt Roam Silver Star Resort

The winter months are slowly beginning to fade into a distant memory as fresh new growth emblazons the surrounding
landscapes. The signs of spring help to revitalize our senses. The daylight hours seem to stretch moments longer with
each passing day. The warmth of the sun's beams are now finding more success in warding off any lingering chill in
the air. With new life imploding around us, how can we not yearn for the endless days of summer and shredding bike
parks?

Busy day in and day out throughout the winter, we held on to our Silver Star film footage. Now, in the clutches of
spring fever, we've put together our Silver Star Bike Park edit in hopes of getting fellow riders amped for summer
biking season.

With an early bonus weekend of June 23 & 24 and opening full-time on June 29, 2012, Silver Star Resort offers lift
accessed, progressive trails, no crowds, crisp, alpine-scented air, expansive views; what more could a rider ask for?

What can I say about Silver Star Bike Park? Every time I've visited has truly been an enjoyable experience. You're
always welcomed with a relaxed vibe due to the carefree spirit which seems to encompass the patrons and employees
alike.

Just strolling about the resort village never seems to fail in bringing a smile to anyone's face with the palate of Day-Glo
colored buildings animating the immediate mountain skyline along with full suspension bikes sprawled throughout the
grass quad in the village center. Just past this, lying await in the background, is the perfect playground for a mountain
biker.

Twisting tracks ramble through thickets of evergreens only to burst forth at times into expanses of flowering meadows.
Everywhere in between a rider can happen upon mellow, roving trails, rocky, technical descents, or jump lines ranging
in size and skill requirement.

It's a splendid place to go and explore different trails and features, ideal for honing biking skills at any level.

It's pretty awesome to be able to go out and shred groomed trails down a huge mountain, and once you have reached
the bottom, to just be able to hop on a lift and go do it all over again. Rad. Similar to any avid bicyclist, I can only
but meagerly attempt to describe in a jumble of sentences how it is to ride an area. So on a parting note, I want to
encourage everyone to go out and make their own story.

Projekt Roam was founded by Colt and Jessee Maule in 2010. It has been our mission to travel North America in
search of places that celebrate the unparalleled beauty and freedom of not only the bike, but the terrain we ride as
well. Plan your own trip to Silver Star Resort and check out more photos, film, and riding locations throughout North
America at www.gravityrideguide.com

Thanks to our sponsors for some great product and to all of our new friends who have helped us out along the way, ride
on.

Blake Samson Joins Saracen

News just in the from the Madison camp, Blake Samson has joined Saracen -

"Saracen are delighted to announce the addition of UK-based Blake Samson to the Saracen Dirt team! Blake is a well-known face on both the UK and international scenes, being consistently ranked within the top 50 riders in the world on the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour for the last two years.

From his own impressive solo video showcases, to the light-hearted Bike Riders United How-To web edits, Blake is a massive character with an even bigger bag of jaw-dropping skills and we are stoked to have Blake riding on Saracen for the 2012 season.

“This might be a surprise to some, but I have moved over to Saracen bikes for 2012. I am so excited to be riding for a British bike brand and looking forward to be working with all the guys at Saracen. I've been riding the new Amplitude ALX and CR3 models and I am loving them so much.

I’m looking forward to iceBike* in a few weeks and then it’s off to California for a 3 weeks to kick off my new 2012 season. I will also be riding on the Animal Bike Tour this year and as well as a number of FMB world tour events. It’s going to be a big exiting year for myself and Saracen bikes!”

Blake Samson Blake will be competing in domestic and international competitions aboard both our CR3 and ALX frames, as well as helping out with the development of our 2013 models. Blake joins long-time Saracen rider Lance McDermott on the Saracen Dirt Team, making for a formidable team roster that we hope to see atop plenty of podiums in the coming year!"

X-Fusion Announces 2012 Slopestyle Athletes

Andrew Taylor, Jack Fogelquist and Tyler McCaul will continue through
2012 riding X-Fusion suspension. This trio of slopestyle personalities
offers more than just fresh web edits and big time local contests.
All three riders live within pedaling distance of the X-Fusion US
headquarters in Santa Cruz, CA. The unique ability to work closely
with riders on product development and marketing projects has
created a comfortable and beneficial relationship for all. X-Fusion
looks forward to another year with all three of these athletes and the
continued success we hope to share.

Andrew Taylor first signed with X-Fusion in 2007 making this his 6th
season. He is the longest active member of the team. During his time
at X-Fusion we have watched him go from a young contest rider to
a mature contest organizer/promoter, launch his own company and
maintain the ability to strike the podium at various freestyle events.
X-Fusion will be proud to support AT with whatever he ventures into
next!

Jack Fogelquist enters his 2nd full season with X-Fusion in 2012. This
online megastar keeps us all entertained and unproductive at work
with his successful video series, “Fogelsodes”. Fogel was also featured
in the 2011 online release “X Gon Give It To Ya”. He will continue to
shred, produce and promote X-Fusion through 2012 and we are very
happy to have him back!

2012 marks the 3rd season for Tyler McCaul aboard X-Fusion
suspension. He commented, “The last two years with X Fusion have
been nothing but awesome for me and I'm pumped to be re-signing
with them for 2012! As riders we put a lot of trust in the parts we put
on our bikes, and X Fusion suspension has those parts that I trust
in enough to put on the bikes that I ride. I also like to be in close
contact with my sponsors and the fact that X Fusion's US headquarters
is in my hometown makes it that much easier to continue working with
them in 2012!!”

All three riders will be using a various range of X-Fusion products in
2012. Velvet and Vengeance forks will be found at the front of their
bikes, the O2, Vector and all-new Vector Air rear shock lines will
provide the rear squish on their rigs. Lastly, when these guys are out
training and shredding trails they will be using the Hilo adjustable seat
post to better enjoy every ride.

Tracy Moseley Announces T-Mo Racing

Tracy Moseley, the 2011 downhill World Cup champion and 2010 downhill World Champion, will be refocusing her racing efforts in 2012 under the T-Mo Racing banner. The Trek-sponsored rider will expand her racing calendar to include a variety of race formats next year.

Having begun her racing career in the early 1990s, downhill became Tracy’s speciality, although she has always enjoyed mixing up her mountain biking. Going forward, Tracy will return to her multi-discipline roots and will participate in several races in 2012, including World Cup downhill events, Pro Sprint Eliminator races, and a special focus on enduros.

“After 12 years on the World Cup downhill circuit and the achievement of all the goals I set for myself, I felt that the end of 2011 was a perfect opportunity to make a change in direction and pursue some new challenges,” said Tracy. “I would like to extend my thanks to Trek World Racing and everyone working behind the scenes at Trek for the most successful three years of my career to date. That support has allowed me to attain both a World Championship title and a World Cup title. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Trek as both an athlete and ambassador, as I pursue new ventures,” she added.

With support from Trek, Tracy’s new objective is to elevate her profile as an all-round mountain bike athlete. She has set goals to finish in podium positions across all of her planned races, and to gain points for World Championship selection in both cross country Pro Sprint, and downhill. She will have a variety of bikes from the Trek quiver to choose from, including a Session 9.9 and Slash, as she pursues her new aims. “We are delighted to keep Tracy within the Trek family,” said Trek UK’s Marketing Manager Andrew Griffin. “Her successful career and outstanding reputation made furthering the relationship an easy decision to make. We look forward to supporting the shift in her racing career,” he added.

Andreu Lancondeguy Signs With YT Industries

As of right now, the enfant terrible of the freeride scene, Catalan Andreu Lacondeguy is riding with a new bike sponsor: YT has signed the young Spaniard and is looking forward to working with one of the most colorful personalities of the mountain bike scene.

The 22 year-old freerider from Barcelona is definitely the most flamboyant of mountain bike stars. Andreu is well known for his exceptionally high, far and super extended supermans, unmatched in style and elegance. This is why Andreu’s bikes are always under a bit more stress than those of other freeriders and have to withstand extreme gravity forces; one of several reasons why Andreu chose YT-Industries, a brand that stands for quality and innovation.

Andreu says about his new sponsor: "I feel really great on the new bikes. Especially the Dirt Love looks really cool and is great to ride. Perfect for big jumps, just like a dirt jump bike has to be! It wasn’t that easy to find a brand that fits my style perfectly. But when I looked at the 2012 YT-models, I found some amazing bikes that almost seemed to be custom-made for me. YT was definitely the right choice.“

The young team of the bike manufacturer from Forchheim (GER), which has been awarded several prizes for their unconventional and innovative design, is also looking forward to the cooperation with Andreu Lacondeguy. Markus Flossmann, YT-Industries’ CEO comments: "We are extremely proud Andreu chose us as his new sponsor because of our products. We can’t wait to work with him! Anyone who knows us knows that Andreu and YT are the perfect match. Just like him, our brand is kind of unconventional and a bit different.“

For the next season, Andreu will ride on the YT-models DIRT LOVE, PLAY and TUES 2.0. To embrace his style completely at every point, Andreu will actively participate in developing these bikes. For YT and Andreu the 2012 season can already begin!
