It was really cool to get these three guys - Cam McCaul, Tyler McCaul and Brett Rheeder together for this video shoot last year. With these guys riding together there is never a dull moment.
Night vision. Examples of species that possess this quality include the Spotted Eagle-Owl (Bubo africanus) and the domestic cat (Felis silvestris catus). However, not all species are privileged enough to possess this nocturnal quality. Example… the human species (homo sapiens).
Unlike shooting during the day, shooting at night has it’s drawbacks. Our lack of night vision meant that we had to set up way more lights than we normally do, even for short sections of trail. Set-up would start just before sundown each day, and by the time we were finished shooting, the sun would be on it’s way back up to greet us for the day. Lack of sleep was definitely a challenge, and by the end of the shoot you’d think we were on set of the Walking Dead, not unReal.
That being said, challenges are meant to be overcome. The night shift isn’t all that bad, but we definitely have a new appreciation for a good night’s sleep.
Cherry Creek is a small community within the interior region of British Columbia. While it was first discovered in the 1800's and stripped of its gold, Brett Rheeder made his stake on the land creating a unique hay bale slope style course. Teaming up with Mind Spark Cinema, Brett brings you his latest video, "Horsepower"
