Alchemy Bicycles Announces The Arktos

It's been a long time coming, but we finally launched our full-suspension mountain bike. The Arktos, Greek for bear, was modeled to be your all-mountain bike. We worked closely with industry leading rear suspension engineer, Dave Earle, on a unique dual-linkage system dubbed Sine Suspension. When graphed, the movement of this system resembles a sine wave. This system is designed to take full advantage of the rear shock. It is regressive during the first bit of travel, absorbing small bumps and rocks, progressive through the middle to handle the big hits and fast curves, then regressive over the final movement to utilize the full range of travel.

Staying true to our brand, we are making the full carbon front triangle in house using our proprietary carbon-layup methods. The rear triangle and linkage will be manufactured by Dave Earle to our design and carbon-layup specifications, then assembled and painted at our Denver facility.
The Arktos has 6 inches of travel, spec'd with 650b wheelset, and compatible with a 1x drive train. This bike will come in four stock sizes, S, M, L, and XL.The shifter and brake cables will be internally routed through the frame as well as the dropper post cable, if desired. Every aspect of this bike was built with consideration for style and performance!

We launed the Arktos at Interbike 2015 and have garnered a lot of press and excitement around this bike! We will be market ready in early 2016, but we are already gathering pre-orders for those eager to be first on the trail.
