Dane Searls Passes Away

"A daredevil BMX star has died in hospital after suffering severe head injuries in a fall on the Gold Coast on Sunday.

Dane Searls, 23, was knocked unconscious when he unsuccessfully attempted to dive from a Surfers Paradise pub balcony into a pool.

Police confirmed that Searls's life support was turned off this morning after spending five days in a coma in a Gold Coast hospital."
