1. What is your name and where do you live?

I’m Loris Vergier and I live in Cagnes sur Mer ( South of France near Nice)

2. How old are you and how long have you been riding?

 I’m seventeen years old and have been riding since I was six years old.

3. How long have you been racing bicycles?

I have been racing for five years.

4. What race series are you competing in for 2014?

 Downhill World cups, Enduro world series and French championship.

5. What was you first bike?

 A MBK 14 “

6. Your first downhill oriented bike?

 MOM avalanche in Alpes d’huez 2008.

7. What bikes do you currently ride/race?

 Enduro and downhill bikes by Lapierre and also a BMX.

8. What are some of the strong points of the current Lapierre frame you are racing?

The versatility on all kinds of tracks.

9. What type of riding do you usually do?

Downhill, enduro and also BMX.

10. Is the riding good in your area and can you ride year around?

It’s good for practicing during the whole year with some different tracks but there are not any like

Whistler tracks!

11. Where are some of your favorite trails?

In San Romolo (italia) or Whistler trails.

12. What type of features do you like the best on the trails you ride?

The speed, the jumps and the technical parts.

13. Which racecourses do you like the best of the ones you have raced on?

The world cup of Andora.

14. What races do you plan on attending next year?

I don’t know, as many as possible haha.

15. What sponsors do you currently have?

Lapierre Gravity Republic is my team and have my own gear sponsors, so my personal

sponsors are Giro for the shoes and Smith Optics for the goggles.

16. Are their any areas you think could be improved on the current genre of downhill

mountain bikes?

For me, everything is great and I don’t know how we can improve

downhill bikes (I’m too young J)

17. Is Enduro riding/racing something you are currently doing?

Yes, and it’s a good preparation for downhill races.

19. Some people have been saying UCI World Cup courses being set up for video

coverage at the sacrifice of steepness and technical riding?

In my opinion, it’s better if the public and the racers are enjoying the track, on TV or on

real. So, a compromise between the two might be good.

18. Any shout out to people that have helped you along the way?

All the staff of the Team did a big job for us and for me ( Laurent Solliet, the best coach

of the world ) and also my family , friends …
