Nate Furbee

  1. What is your name and where do you live? Nate Furbee, I live in Los Osos CA.
  2. How old are you and how long have you been riding? I am 17, and have been riding bikes since I was 3. So fourteen years now.
  3. How long have you been racing? About 5 years.
  4. What class are you racing? Cat 1 Junior expert 17-18
  5. What was you first bike? Spray painted Specialized super ghetto.
  6. Your first downhill oriented bike? Trek Diesel
  7. What bikes do you currently ride/race? Transition TR-450.
  8. What do you like most about the bikes and what do you wish they did better? I have ridden the Transition before, I think itís perfect especially now that you can run an angle set.
  9. What type of riding do you usually do? Downhill.
  10.  Is the riding good in your area? Very good.
  11.  Where are some of your favorite trails? There are a few, I like Rockgarden, F@#$, and Tower.
  12.  What type of features do you like the best on the trails you ride? I like steep tracks, berms and ruts, but rocks are fun too.
  13.  Which racecourses do you like best you have raced on? Mont Saint Anne is my favorite course, but Port Angeles was fun as well.
  14.  What races do you plan on attending next year?  A lot, World Championships, Sea Otter, Select PRO gravity tour races, and hopefully the two North American World Cups.
  15.  What sponsors do you currently have? Transition Bikes, Marks Baywood Cyclery, and Fox Racing Shox.
  16.  Are there any companies you are interested in getting sponsorship from? Ya, I would definitely like to be sponsored by Troy Lee Designs, and Scott goggles.
  17.  Any shout outs to people who helped you along the way?
     Yes, my parents first because I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near where I am without their support, my brother Ben who has coached me throughout the years, Curtis Beavers who told me about the first race I ever attended, and my younger brother Jake who is always cheering me on at races. Also I would like to thank Transition for their support this year, along with Marks Baywood Cyclery who has helped me for a number of years.
