Why We Ride
This is a short film about what goes into being an athlete in the challenging and extreme sport of downhill mountain bike racing. Shot and edited by Amon Barker with apresvisuals.com. Amon Barker and bike racer, Sam Stevens collaborated on this project traveling across New Mexico to several races and camping out in various locations in order to capture the images you see. Equipment used was the Canon C300 camera with a mix of Canon L series and Zeiss CP.2 glass. Kessler gear was used for dolly and crane shots. Let us know what you think of the short!

2012 Val d'Isere UCI WC Helmet Cam
Helmet camera footage of a full practice run at the end of first day practice at round 6 of the 2012 World Cup at Val D'Isere. Sorry the sound hasn't turned out great, but on these wide open fast tracks it's hard to protect the microphone from the wind! Although you can't hear me talking in places, the footage is still. I've done a 2.37 in timed practice and feel I few more seconds in the bag for qualifying tomorrow. Wish me luck for that and the race!
