Rémy Absalon, The Last COMMENCAL Interview

Nine years. Nine years replete of competitions, trips, encounters, videos and photos. During all this time, Remy offered us wonderful victories riding the whole range of META and helping to improve it.

Even if our partnership stops at the end of the 2013 season, we are wishing to spend one last good moment with him. Thus, with his usual calmness and joviality, Remy goes back one year after another on the different times that have marked his career and that enabled him to become one of the best enduro riders in the world.

Van Life 2 With Ryan Gardner

Ryan Gardner is a Kona Supergrass rider who travels around the United States in his van to race his mountain bike professionally. This video features Knapps Castle trail in the backcountry of Santa Barbara, California.

To make this video we used Magic Lantern software installed on Canon 5D iii cameras to shoot RAW video. This allowed us to gain more dynamic range and make each shot incredibility sharp. We also used a Red EPIC for the slow motion shots and a GoPro 3 for the octocopter and POV shots.

If it wasn't for the colorful and diverse landscapes that decorate and geographically define our country, where would we ride? Landscapes is a film series that celebrates and depicts the fruit of the earth's time and toils with the elements that have helped to create and shape the terrain we mountain bike across today. Volume one of Landscapes focuses on the weather worn trail system known as North Fruita/18 Road Trails. The stark beauty of this Colorado desert terrain is interspersed with scattered juniper and gentle flowing trails which provide an enjoyable riding experience for all who ride there.
