Reynolds Announces New Premium Wheels

There's magic in the woods, in the rock gardens, on the singletrack. We know, because we ride, and we feel it, too. The thrill of carving epic Utah singletrack, the solitude
of high altitude meadows and ripping through the woods chasing daylight...it all feels good. The passion for the ride drives us to engineer and build the best wheels on the market.

The new 29 Trail wheels from Reynolds incorporate advanced wheel building principles to deliver the best overall wheel for fast singletrack riding. The 29 Enduro is Reynolds' offering for aggressive riders who prefer bigger wheels. And the new 27.5 Plus carbon wheels from Reynolds have already set the bar for this emerging category.

BLACKLABEL combines Reynolds' new asymmetric, hookless MR5 carbon fiber rims and Reynolds' new premium mountain hubs to set a new bar in mountain wheel performance.  The rims' perfect balance of width, depth, and fiber layup creates wheels that provide ultimate durability, riding comfort, and trail hugging traction live you've never before experienced.

29" ENDURO

The 29 Enduro is Reynolds’ offering for aggressive riders who prefer bigger wheels. Built with our asymmetric carbon rim, these wheels even out spoke tension for a more durable and predictable ride. The 28 mm wide, hookless rim channel provides excellent tire fit and provides additional air volume for superior ride quality and traction. Add the new Reynolds center lock premium hub with 3-degree engagement to make these the first choice in big wheel, big mountain performance.

The Reynolds 27.5 Enduro combines the best modern design elements for hard-charging mountain bike wheels. The asymmetric carbon rim allows more even spoke tension for increased durability and ride quality, and the 28 mm hookless rim channel provides outstanding tire fit. The new Reynolds center lock hub provides ultra-quick, 3-degree engagement and delivers power when you need it most.

Updated Santa Cruz Tallboy

The Tallboy cuts a whole new swath across the trail bike landscape.

As a 27+ bike it revels in the severe. In desert-dry conditions the wider tires float above the dust and find oases of grip where standard tires flounder. And when the monsoon comes, lower tire pressures pull the Tallboy through the slickest of root sections like a Defender on diff-lock.

In its 29-inch form, the Tallboy’s renowned rowdy streak comes to the fore. Happy at full gas, up or down hill, the speed and agility of the 29 configuration will have you bagging on e-bikes at every turn.

A 68 degree head angle and 110mm of VPP travel distills the original Tallboy’s playful character into something all the more mischievous. Longer reach and shorter chainstays fuel that personality, and bring the Tallboy bang up to date with the rest of the Santa Cruz range.

A flip chip on the upper link, combined with either a 130mm fork (for 27+) or 120mm fork (for 29-inch), ensures geometry remains consistent across a vast range of build kits and sizes, from S to XXL.

The versatile trail bike of choice for rapid riders like Greg Minnaar—the Tallboy is for those who don’t roll with the pack.

This CC-level carbon frame is every bit as stiff and strong as our C-level frames, but weighs about 280 grams less, due to the use of some lighter, stronger, and more expensive carbon fiber. Using this material in key places allowed us to use less material overall, which is what shaves off more than half a pound from the frame.
